Phytochemical investigation of Ardisia gigantifolia Stapf leaves led to the isolation of five compounds, including nicotiflorin (1), rutin (2), 4'-O-methyl-myricetin 3-O-rutinoside (3), (R)-methyl mandelate (4), and (2S)-1,2-di-O-[(9Z,12Z,15Z)-octadeca-9,12,15-trienoyl]-3-O-β-ᴅ-galactopyranosyl glycerol (5). Their chemical structures were elucidated by the analysis of NMR and MS data, compared with the previously reported data. This is the first time to report the existence of compounds 1 - 5 from the genus Ardisia.
